Ahead of the impending international break on the 21st of March, there will be a lot of juicy football fixtures. Even more interesting is the fact that there will be match games serving as awesome buildups to the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. Many of these games will also be deciders of how league tables could end up so they do hold a lot of promise. Let’s take a look at these fixtures.

Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad
Real Madrid are currently on a good run of form, winning their last 5 games in all competitions. It is however noteworthy that the 5 games include a win against high pressing Atalanta despite having a lot of players out injured. Real Madrid have scored more goals and conceded less than Real Sociedad. They are in a good place going into the game but Real Sociedad, riding high on the confidence of an away draw at United who had currently drubbed them to a 4-0 would be at Bernabeu expecting a result.

Manchester City vs Wolves
Based on Head to Head, both teams have played 18 games. Manchester City won 10 matches. Wolverhampton Wanderers won 4 matches. 4 matches ended in a draw. Wolves would really have high hopes for the match having won both legs last season. Things are currently terrible for Wolves as they have lost 10 league games this season. The departure of star man Diogo Jota, injury of Raul Jimenez and terrible form of Adama Traore who has 0 goal contributions in 25 games this season has also turned the table around for Wolves. . Manchester City on the other hand have a form that is the talk of the town at the moment. Currently on a winning streak in all competitions, a streak that spans about 3 months. Having scored over 80 goals in all competitions and conceded 25, it is evident that they an effective shutout system. Very bleak one for Wolves but they know how to find their feet agsinst City.

Liverpool vs Chelsea
For Chelsea and everyone affiliated to them, a game away at Anfield is something to cheer about. Liverpool are on a terrible run of from, losing 4 games at home for the first time since 1921. Being injury plagued, with star men Diogo Jota and Van Dijk out for the major part of the season, Liverpool have had a time scoring, let alone winning games. Chelsea on the other hand, are unbeaten in the last 7 games. Winning 5 and having two draws. While they have found goals difficult to come by, they have found it easier to stop teams from going past them. This game would be one between a great but currently ineffective attacking side against a great defense.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United
United lost their first PL game of the season at home to Crystal Palace 3-1. They had the legitimate excuse of an inadequate Pre-season and quite justifiably, they picked up form later in the season. Currently second on the log, they have scored the most goals in the league this season and they have conceded 32 goals. Crystal Palace on the other hand have won 9 league games this season and lost 11. They have also conceded more goals than they have scored. United, currently on a 20 game unbeaten run away will fancy this game. Moreover, considering the fact that United would want to get one over Palace after that loss at home, we have something to hope for.

Sevilla vs Barcelona
