Tottenham Hotspur Coach Jose Mourinho took a swipe at Manchester United Coach ole Gunnar Solksjaer after their game on Sunday. Jose Mourinho and his boys had won the first leg 6-1 at Old Trafford and his boys put up a spirited performance at the Tottenham Stadium but a spirited performance Mason Greenwood in the last 16 minutes of the game inspired a United win.
Earlier in the game, Manchester United had a controversial goal ruled out by the referee for a Scott Mctominay foul on Heung Min Son in the buildup. Son spent about 3 minutes on the floor after Mctominay poked his hands into his eyes in an attempt to shield the ball.
After deliberations, the goal was ruled out and Ole didn’t hold back when he was asked what he thought of Son’s reaction to the foul. Ole said something in the region of “If that was my son, he won’t be having dinner if he spends that long on the floor”.
Mourinho wasn’t having it either as he said that it’s good that Ole isn’t Son’s father as fathers have to provide food for their children whether or not the children are wrong.
It remains yet to be seen if Ole will return the jibe. He has however claimed that he is focused on the second leg of their Europa Game at home against Granada while Mourinho and his boys prepare for their Premier League game with an eye on the final of the Carabao cup
