PSG could make audacious move for Jadon Sancho

Paris Saint-Germain could make a move for Jadon Sancho if Kylian Mbappe declines to extend his contract, according to the Athletic. Superstar Kylian Mbappe has refused to sign a new deal and all efforts by the PSG hierarchy to get him to put pen to paper is proving abortive.

Mbappe, initially hired on loan from Monaco following his breakout season was signed by PSG in 2017 and had his deal finalized in 2018. HE has since then gone on to be a world beater, effectively deputizing for Neymar who is injured more often than not.

Neymar and Mbappe’s signing came with a lot of jamboree and it had a lot of expectations hang on the boys’ neck but while they have fallen short of expectations, they have consistently shown what they can do on their day as they scaled to the final of the UEFA Champions League last year and they have one leg in the Semi Final of the Champions League after a 3-2 Away win at Bayern last week.

Mbappe’s deal is set to expire next summer, which makes him a prime target to leave the club at the end of this season if PSG are to avoid losing him for nothing. And if he does opt to leave the French capital, 21-year-old winger Sancho has been identified as the perfect replacement.

Sancho looks to be destined to be on his way to Manchester United but a juicy offer to PSG was not in the mix all this while. A Kylian Mbappe move could be the sweetener to the conditions for Sancho, who racked up over 46 goal contributions for Borrusia Dortmund last season.
