Angry PSG fans issue warning to Pogba

Following reports that Paul Pogba, the Manchester United midfielder, is on his way to Paris Saint-Germain, the club’s supporters have made it clear that he will not be welcomed.

One group of supporters has placed banners outside the Parc des Princes and PSG’s training field to express their opposition to his possible signing.

Pogba should listen to his mother, according to the banners, which appeared early on Saturday morning. ‘She doesn’t want you here, and we don’t want you here.’

According to RMC Sport, no one has claimed responsibility for the protest banners at this point in time. When Manchester United defeated PSG in the Champions League last-16 in 2019, Pogba didn’t hold back in his celebrations. It’s unclear what sparked the hostility from PSG fans towards Pogba.

Pogba was suspended for the return leg at the Parc des Princes, and he sat in the stands to watch United’s incredible late comeback victory, before making his way down to the pitch to join in the jubilation with his teammates.

Despite the fact that he is entering the final year of his Old Trafford contract, Pogba has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, although there has been no communication between the teams, much alone an offer, to yet.

Next summer, when his contract expires, United could find themselves without Pogba, who cost them a world record £89million when he joined from Juventus back in 2016. Because negotiations over a new contract have stalled, the club may be tempted to sell him this summer, with a reported asking price of £43 million being floated.

Pogba is originally from the town of Lagny-sur-Marne, which is approximately 22 miles from the center of Paris, and a return to his hometown would be appealing to the player.

Having performed admirably for France at Euro 2020, Pogba is presently enjoying a family vacation in Florida before returning to Manchester United for pre-season training.

Last month, when asked about his current predicament, he responded as follows: ‘Everyone knows that I have one year left on my contract. For the time being, there have been no clear suggestions for a move.’I’m still in Manchester,’

The Mirror also reported earlier this week that Pogba has rejected a long-term contract offer from Manchester United worth £50 million. The French champions, on the other hand, have already made five summer acquisitions in the form of Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, as well as Spaniards Sergio Ramos and Achraf Hakimi, as well as Dutch midfielders Georginio Wijnaldum and Danilo Pereira, among others.

For the possibility of Pogba leaving, United signed Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek in a £40 million deal last summer. Other players who could replace the Frenchman this summer include West Ham’s Declan Rice and Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid. Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is also a potential replacement for Pogba.
