Eagles are scared of No one: Akpeyi

Ahead of Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ opening group game against Egypt’s Pharaohs, goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has stated that the team is prepared to face any opponent, BSNsports.com.ng can reveal.

The 2013 winners will face Egypt in Garoua on Tuesday, looking to earn maximum points against the North African superpower.

Speaking before of the encounter, the Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper stated that they are prepared for all opponents, not only Mohammed Sallah.

“It was anticipated that the mood would be energizing. Everywhere has been busy recently due to the AFCON being a large competition.

“The goalkeeping staff is preparing not only for Salah, but for the whole Egypt team. We are prepared for each and every player on the pitch.

“So far, the goalkeepers who have been playing have performed admirably.

“Nigeria has been gifted with an excellent crop of players. The team’s fans are always expecting results. The guys are now ready to play. What we require of Nigerians is their cooperation. “From the heart to the mind,”

Except for the third-place match against Madagascar, Akpeyi was in goal for the entirety of Nigeria’s campaign at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
