Suitors going all out for Vlahovic

Dusan Vlahovic is a sought-after player, with ESPN reporting that up to eight of Europe’s top teams are interested in the Serbia international.

The 21-year-old has scored 20 goals in 24 appearances for Fiorentina this season and has established himself as one of the game’s hottest talents in recent months. Arsenal are apparently interested in signing the player this month, although a January deal is improbable due to competition from Europe’s top teams.

Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund and Harry Kane of Tottenham are set to be the most sought-after centre-forwards in this summer’s transfer market. Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski might become available if the Bundesliga club decides to sell the 33-year-old when he declines an extension beyond his contract’s June 2023 expiration date.

However, with numerous elite clubs in need of a centre-forward, insiders believe Vlahovic will join a team that loses out on Haaland and Kane. Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Barcelona are all in the market for a striker this summer, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain also expected to be interested in Lewandowski and Kylian Mbappe, respectively, if they depart the Allianz Arena and Parc des Princes.

Atletico Madrid and Juventus are also considered possible destinations for Vlahovic, but the deep-seated animosity between Juventus and Fiorentina might prove difficult even if Juventus are able to finance an offer for the former Partizan Belgrade striker.

Vlahovic is under contract with Fiorentina until June 2023, and reports have indicated that the Serie A club is prepared to unload the player this summer in order to prevent losing him for nothing next year as a free agent.
